Spring Shelter Clean-Up
For years, our shelter has opened its doors to thousands of beloved animals in need, and now our facility itself needs the community's loving support. While these essential repairs have been postponed due to our commitment to maintaining space for as many animals as possible, we believe the time has come to strengthen the very foundation of our mission.
These improvements go far beyond cosmetic changes – they're vital to creating a more effective and nurturing environment for both our dedicated staff and the animals in our care. We're reaching out to our wonderful community with open arms, hoping to tackle these much-needed renovations all at once. Whether you're a skilled craftsperson, have a knack for repairs, or know someone who does, your help would mean the world to us.
By coming together as a community, we can create lasting positive change for the countless animals who find refuge within these walls. Your support will help us continue our mission of providing comfort and care to every pet who enters our doors. Petco Adoption Event: Clear the Shelter
Join us this Sunday, December 8th, at Petco in Moscow for a special adoption event featuring three of our foster dogs!
We’ll have an incredible lineup of adoptable dogs, including:
Mia
French Onion
Gumbo
Adoption Fees:
As part of our Home for the Holidays event, adoption fees are just $125 for adult dogs and $240 for puppies.
Our website will be updated with profiles for all of these dogs by Wednesday afternoon, so be sure to check it out before the event.
If the dog you’re hoping for has already been adopted, we encourage you to meet our other deserving dogs who are also looking for loving homes this winter. Our mission is to match every animal with a caring, lifelong home. Thank you for helping us make this adoption day a success! We can’t wait to see you there!
Petco Adoption Event: Clear the Shelter
Join us this Saturday, December 7th, from 9 AM to 11 AM at Petco in Moscow for a special adoption event featuring all of our foster cats! Same-day adoptions will be available, so it’s the perfect time to meet your new furry family member.
We’ll have an incredible lineup of adoptable cats and kittens, including:

Adoption Fees:
As part of our Home for the Holidays event, adoption fees are just $40 for adult cats and $120 for kittens.
Our website will be updated with profiles for all of these cats by Wednesday afternoon, so be sure to check it out before the event.
Please note that some of our cats have received a lot of interest. While we deeply appreciate the enthusiasm, remember that each kitty can only find their forever home with one family. If the cat you’re hoping for has already been adopted, we encourage you to meet our other deserving cats who are also looking for loving homes this winter.

WCHS Volunteer Meet-Up
We’re excited to invite you to our Volunteer Meet-Up at Pups and Cups on November 16th, 2024, from 11 AM to 1 PM!

Come enjoy a cup of coffee, connect with fellow animal advocates, and ask our staff and board any questions you might have. Let’s celebrate our collective passion for helping animals and making a difference.
Pawttery Joint Fundraiser
Join Terracotta to sculpt paw-print ornaments intimate for the holidays! Two-Thirds-- 66%-- of the funds raised through bookings for this event are donated that night to the Humane Society of the Palouse and Whitman County Humane Society.
