Lauren Jennifer McCluskey
A Shining Light. A Kind Heart. A Force for Good.
The Lauren McCluskey Cat Wing is a place where Lauren’s compassion for animals lives on. Lauren loved animals and volunteered here at the shelter, socializing cats so they would be more adoptable. She had two beloved cats of her own, Fuzzy and Victory. She loved animals so much that while she attended Pullman High School, she completed her senior project at the WSU Center for Animal Wellbeing.
After her life was tragically cut short, hundreds of people who cared for Lauren were moved to honor her memory with this cat wing.
Lauren’s wing is a place of safety and refuge, a place where animals’ needs are met with compassionate care and kindness. Her warmth and love for cats and kittens embodies the best of the human spirit. Her light shines brightly here.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it. John 1:5
